Is it possible to put this camera in a graphic or movie clip symbol so that when you put this symbol on a main time line, you see what the camera sees instead of seeing the camera object moving around on the clip itself?
This is what I'm trying to do... perhaps there's an obvious alternative to my approach...
I'm bringing in a SWF (a screen capture made up of bitmaps). I'd like to be able to zoom into various parts of the screen capture. I don't want the graphics to bleed to the edges, so I have everything masked. I want to put a character on the main time line, pointing to various parts of this screen capture.
Right now I'm thinking that I'd love to make the screen capture it's own graphic symbol, with all the zooming and stuff going on within that symbol using a camera. Then when I place that clip on the main time line, I just want to see what the camera is seeing. Otherwise, it's really difficult to have the character interact with what's going on.
Does anyone have any idea what the heck I'm talking about
